This is exactly what happened to a Canadian mother, who was in for a rude awakening after finding out that leftover homemade roast beef and potatoes, carrots, an orange and some milk was insufficient according to Canadian government standards.
To add insult to injury, the woman was also fined $10 by the school for not including "grains" in the child's lunch, which was in turn supplemented by the school in the form of Ritz Crackers!

"She sent her children to daycare with with lunches containing leftover homemade roast beef and potatoes, carrots, an orange and some milk.
She did not send along any "grains".
As a consequence the school provided her children with, I kid you not, supplemental Ritz Crackers, and her with a $10 fine."Parents are growing increasingly weary of government "standards" when it comes to raising their children after this ridiculous incident and another incident that we covered when a school claimed that a student needed a doctor's note to bring lunch from home.
While grain is an important part of our diet, it's also important to note that processed wheat has been shown to have a negative impact on our health as well as having illegal and unsafe genetically modified DNA from crop cross-pollination and genetic pollution from experimental Monsanto crops.
